This afternoon was a special day to remember... I am so happy to see many people inside Manila Zoo... CROWDed... families and friends bonding. As we were about to leave... Gaby and I went to the elephant enclosure and Gaby pointed out to Maali who was on the other side of the enclosure. So Gaby and I went into the inner ring and first time I heard Gaby called out Aali Aali... I was thrilled :-) so we started shouting Maali... Maali... then Maali saw us from the far side of the new enclosure and slowly made her way toward us... Gaby and I was excited and keep on shouting her name... Maali Maali... Maali... slowly she was right infront of us... and she reach out her trunk...to Smell us while Gaby and I were blowing into her trunk and this went on for half a minute... together Gaby and Wowo... blowing into her trunk and she in turn blow gently too... I knew Maali was playing with us.. she uses her smell to recognize people or can sense danger or tension... the crowd were watching us doing this... and as we had to stop. I notice the people were smiling at us... This was the only time I wish I had a camera to record this event... NONE... only memory... I hope one day Gaby would remember today... when Maali heed our call and played with us.... Aali from Wowo and Gaby at Manila Zoo.
