This all deeply saddens me not only as someone who is a part of a socially demonized race within America, yet truly because this world is unjust and disturbingly evil. Why does it take a brutal death however to recognize that racialism/racism/racial terrorism lives on through a regimen of a-ok and legal institutional hate crimes, slandering, and murder? I dont agree with the street looting thats going on behind this crime, yet having crowds be tear gassed, beaten, and verbally abused by racists is just wrong. This reminds me all too much of the atrocities committed against POC individuals in the 1960s. People claim that there isnt enough evidence yet its all too apparent, now isnt it? Racism and institutional terrorism lives on and strongly through the law. Michael was two days away from starting college when he was killed, and his life was cut short through the ephemeral and highly marginalized law that is held up against minorities; you cant ignore that. #introspection
