This am as it was snowing, I went out to clear off my vehicle, admiring the white beauty... while pep talking myself that I should be able to reach the middle of that windshield this year with heeled boots on & my extra long scraper I got, reminding myself that I can just re-straighten my now frizzing hair again once at work before my first client arrives, if I hurry it up & leave soon. ;) My son Wrigley quickly comes out (w/o a coat & still in shorts, as his first final today wasnt until second block, so he was still home) saying I got this Mom. My heart melted.. As anyone who is/has been (or been near) a single momma knows all too well, the reality of the last 6 1/2 years of balancing both provider & nurturer is often, sometimes seemingly impossible, a daily struggle. Even with my best tireless efforts/intentions, I know Ive failed or not done as good of a job as a 2 parent family probably could have. But...As I drove to work teary-eyed today, I thank God, recalling the countless times this kid, from just a little man of 9 yrs old, coming to me saying I got this Mom, We can do it Mom, I can probably figure out how to do this Mom, It will be ok Mom because Ive either not known, had the means or not been physically able & struggled to accomplish sooo many things over their childhoods. Of all the things I couldnt do, I can truly say Im continually one very blessed & grateful momma for these kids! Life is good 💕
