This appears to be another case of PERCEIVED authority by bureaucrats using threats of we will shut you down if you dont comply....BULLSHIT. If people havent had enough, they are NOT paying attention. This article mentions a crackdown by the state and mysterious state regulations and (agriculture department) standards...but WHERE IS THE LAW? There isnt a LAW mentioned! Most likely because there isnt one! Then you have this guy, Ken Harris...I did all of the work on my own and found all the right people to accomplish what I needed to accomplish and I did an extensive amount of work, Harris said. Giving that away would be a bad business move ... and I dont have that kind of time. Real nice Ken! Since our Michigan Right to Farm case, all I have done is help other people! It isnt about having a monopoly on the business Ken...its about the people coming together to put a stop to this bullshit! People need to stop buying from Ken until he starts helping others. I farm and work 7 days a week...I dont have much time either, but I MAKE the time to do important work regarding our constitutional rights and do my best to help others. Wake up Ken! Unless you agree with this crap, it is your duty to help others beat this tyrannical govt and the overstepping the bounds of their authority! Then there is this from the article... To gain approval to identify and sell wild mushrooms, herbs, or other wild plants in Michigan a person must be recognized as appropriately trained and competent, according to the states website. Commercial foragers must submit a statement that describes his or her education, experience, and expertise. Here we have completely INcompetent bureaucrats saying that someone else has to be competent in an area that they, themselves, know nothing about! So, people have to be approved by people that dont have the knowledge or capability of approving shit! This is definitely an over regulation that should NOT be complied with! I guess the next story will be that foragers have been thrown in jail next to the chicken keepers!
