This article asks Republicans for an update to their own Health Care Reform, the one they say will sweep us off our feet and make the Affordable Care Act seem a puny, useless grab at the out of control target Obamas ACA aims to tame. Of course, as the article points out, our Republican friends, with nothing but our interest and our constitutional freedom motivating their every move, have not in this instance moved very fast: in four years, Republican efforts have yielded - well, to quote the last line of Alice Coopers song, I Love the Dead - nothing. (An appropriate allusion in this context, for as we all know the dead do not NEED health care.) This article sheds some light on the subject. Just some. Apparently the writer did not feel comfortable mentioning the giant, multicolored Elephant in the room when we think on this subject. That be: corporate sponsorship of elected officials and the corporate drive to at all cost stamp out all reform, all possible regulation, so insurance companies, the makers of pills, and the manufacturers of surgical appliances may continue to do whatever needs to be done to make not jet a profit but enormous profits … etc.. (Its hard for me to stop once I get going.) Take a look.
