This article discusses Rwandas rapid economic growth and urban development in the past 20 years. There is apparently great potential in Kigali, the capital, which is hospitable to businesses and relatively safe in comparison to rival cities like Nairobi. Still, it is a very authoritarian political environment. Despite its repressive policies, its economic policies have been praised and Kigali has tons of modern building construction.
