I’m not quite sure.. ;) - - - Why God chooses to rescue some and not others is a mystery. As one partially shaped by a world where answers are in large supply (albeit superficial), mystery’s are unnerving and unsettling. From the cries of the Israelites under Pharaoh’s oppression, to Jesus’ wailing upon encountering Lazarus’ death, grief and loss eventually find us and when they do, they will need to be considered and processed and not ignored, denied or entertained aside. To process independently in isolation (a default of many) often leads to untold anxiety, rage, denial and/or despair. To process alongside some of God’s people who forget their history and frailty and trade compassion for criticism, can feel painful. Yet process we must. Hope is not just a possibility but a reality, often obscured by suffering. [*selah] Hope is not just a principle but a Personality, clothed in Flesh & Blood. [*selah] Hope is not just a possibility but a Reality, revealed by Suffering. [*selah] Hope is not just a principle but a Personality, w/ shed Blood & broken Body. [*selah] Hope is not just a possibility but a reality, revealed beyond suffering…and death…and the grave. [*selah] Hope is the Resurrection and the Life [John 11:25] Amen! - - - *Hebrew root word salah (Hebrew: סָלָה) which means to hang, and by implication to measure (weigh). (wikipedia)
