This article is utter bullshit. The complaints and correlations leveled by the author of this tripe range from insidiously false to ignorantly xenophobic. This is a classic example of in my day revisionism driven by the same, tired buggy whip mentality. People complained that kids spent all their time watching TV rather than spending quality time with their friends and suitors sharing a malted while listening the radio. Go back a few more generations and the youth was being corrupted by the introduction of that infernal contraption, the automobile!!! Why in my day, you picked up a girl in a horse drawn carriage so the entire town could see that the boys hands were on the reigns and not up the poor girls petticoat! Get back to me when the population is in decline, or you have some other piece of compelling evidence besides a Muppets style rant from the two old dudes in the balcony.
