*This article needs to be revisited because too many Americans have permitted some politicians, pundits, radio entertainers, blog owners, and TV talking heads to lead them to believe that only certain Americans benefit from government welfare programs. They then go on to turn it into a divisive issue, which results in some Americans attacking and dehumanizing other Americans. The truth is that a majority of Americans, including the very wealthy, benefit from government welfare of one kind or another. Imo, its time for some Americans to refuse to permit others to manipulate them into attacking their very own citizens based on falsehoods. Each member of Congress is a beneficiary of government welfare. Consider the fact that their salaries and benefits are paid by our taxes. This is a direct link to the government and our welfare system. Theyre not like doctors, nurses, accountants, and others who work for themselves or private companies. They sustain their lives and pay their bills by depending on redistribution of income and our taxes, and all of it comes from the government. These folks have done a hatchet job on some Americans by convincing them that the very government they are a part of is evil and parts of it should be destroyed. If our government is evil and theyre a part of it, the logical conclusion is that theyre also evil. If our government or parts of it should be destroyed, and its the way that theyre able to pay their bills, the destruction of our government would mean theyd all lose their jobs. See, the real scam behind the rhetoric is that they want to keep those checks and benefits coming but also want to pretend the government is evil and needs to be destroyed, but thats not what they really want. What they truly want is more political power. How do I know this? Notice that no one in Congress or in any state legislature who talks about how evil the government is or about government being the problem wants to give up his/her job in the government!
