This article talks about how a group of Caribbean nations is seeking reparations from countries how gained from Caribbean slavery including countries like France, Britain and the Netherlands. The ten point plan would include a formal apology as well as debt cancellation. The article goes on to mention how reparations for slavery has been discussed for a long time and how only recently has it gain rapid popularity in the Caribbean. The reparations would also include aid in strengthening health, educational and cultural institutions.
