This autumn the people of Roscommon & South Leitrim are going to be asked to choose a replacement for Luke “Ming” Flanagan in a Bye Election, now that “Ming” has gone to Europe. The parties are going to wheel out more of the same and try to sell us all old suits on new pegs. Weve all been let down by the political establishment. Rural Ireland has been annexed by recession. Well Im just a little bit too disillusioned with the political system to let yet another election pass where we all settle for “more of the same”. Thats why this autumn I will be contesting the Roscommon-South Leitrim Bye Election as an Independent candidate. Its been six years and were all still waiting for change. The strange part being that right now thats all we seem to have in our pockets. The tide is turning in Irish politics. A much needed change has began and we are on the pinnacle of taking back control of our futures. If you dont normally vote, and I can understand why you might not, I ask you to please consider doing so in this bye election. Roscommon-South Leitrim will have the eyes of the nation on us and it is up to us to send a message loud and clear to the establishment. We wont be be ignored! We cant be ignored! We will be represented! But I need your support. I need the silent majority to come out and have their voices heard!
