This bears talking about some more. Last year after the fires - TopicsExpress

This bears talking about some more. Last year after the fires above Colorado Springs there was a bill to address the damage Sandy had done to the East Coast. Attached to that bill was a nine million appropriation for the Corp of Engineers to mitigate the damage done by the fire to prevent further damage by flooding. Representative Lamborn voted against this. Historically all representatives in congress have voted for this type of spending. Why because it is good for the community and it is the role of government to do the things that are in the interests of the community that the private sector have no intention of doing. Lamborn could have voted for this even if he feels that the spending should not occur. The bill was voted down. He choose to vote against it. What has happened. First there was flooding and twelve cars were swept away. Now we have another flood with mud swift going down the canyon. Many cars were lost but worse one person died and three are missing. This is only the second flood. I find this behavior on the part of Lamborn to be reprehensible if not criminal. This guy represents our district here in Colorado. He needs to find another job and let someone who know what the function of government is to do the job.
