This beautiful, gentle creature came to ASH yesterday and we can’t begin to describe how emaciated and neglected she is ! She was found straying in Hacketstown and all we can say is if she has an owner don’t even bother trying to claim her. We see so many skinny dogs arriving in ASH but this one takes the biscuit. She really is skin and bone ! She is elderly and weighs in at only 10.5kg, a healthy lurcher should be double that ! She was extremely dehydrated yesterday and we had hoped she’d improve today but that was not the case she can’t keep any food down, just vomits at every bite. She has no muscle tone whatsoever ! Her nails are overgrown and she is exhausted ! Remi has brought her to the vet this evening as her condition isn’t improving. She will most likely be kept overnight. We really hope she can come through this. We’ll keep you updated on how she’s doing !
