This beautiful video is by Melissa Anderson Wanna, who suffered a brain injury in 2010. Unable to express the difficulties of life post-injury, she made this video in hopes of spreading awareness to others. The painting of the girl with her eyes closed is her own. As Melissa said on the YouTube page where this video is posted, Awareness, for many, is a matter of life and death. Its one thing to suffer, but to feel unwanted and doubted as you suffer, can push you to give up. Statistics show ...One in every Three brain injury survivors attempt, contemplate, or commit suicide. I hope that once you read this, you will share this video with everyone you can. We can create a better life for many, and save many lives in the process. I thought I was alone in my struggles for the first few years after my recovery, with many doubting me and not understanding just how much I was suffering, I wanted to give up. I am thankful now that I did not. I hope I can help paint this world beautiful with awareness so that no man, woman, child or infant must every silently suffer. So that others will do what they can to help them rebuild their worlds with love and compassion rather than judgment and doubt. Please help me. Please share this. I have had to many messages from beautiful people ready to give up on their lives because the world has no idea just how life changing, confusing, painful and scary living with brain injury is. Lets be a part of something bigger than ourselves!!! Lets paint this WHOLE WORLD BEAUTIFUL.
