This being National Recovery month.. As a treatment provider, one of my responsibilities to the community is to share, whenever possible, the message of recovery and hope.. Here is a PSA.. Recovery emerges from hope: The belief that recovery is real provides the essential and motivating message of a better future – that people can and do overcome the internal and external challenges, barriers, and obstacles that confront them. Hope is internalized and can be fostered by peers, families, providers, allies, and others. Hope is the catalyst of the recovery process. Often, individuals and families in the throws of addiction feel hopeless. There is hope. This disease is treatable. Thank you members of this community, for being so supportive of recovery! :)
