This being the last day of 2014, I have had a look back at this - TopicsExpress

This being the last day of 2014, I have had a look back at this year. On the down side, the sudden loss of our beloved Jack Russell, Emma on the 23rd of June was undoubtedly the sadest day of our year. We have now disovered that the attack on Panda, which we shared with you of FB, was not caused by a steel spike as initially thought but by a neighbors Great Dane. As it turns out,the same dog has been responsible for 5 attacks on our dogs and the vet bills are well over $2000. The last attack on Patch our 13 year old Dalmatian, was particularly horrendous and she is still recovering but doing extremely well. The dog has since been relocated. Im hope we never have to go through this ordeal again. Seeing your beloved animals is such dreadful pain, really puts a damper on the year. On the up side......I got to turn 70, saw a lot of my friends whom I havent seen for a long time, among them were Mick Hamilton ,Lynn Thorpe, had a wonderful visit from my sister, brother in law, Scotty and Margaret MacDonough, friends Becky Blunt Wallace and Guy Wilcox who flew all the way from Atlanta Georgia to attend the party. I completed 3 short films and 12 show reels, with the generous help of my friend David Graham Parker, set up my new web sites eagleshowreels and eaglefilmproductions. I wrote and recorded 4 new songs, wrote over a dozen new scripts, several short stories, managed the film crew for the mainstage of the Gympie Muster, built our Retro Teardrop Camper, my new film studio, rebuilt our PA system, made a lot of new friends and didnt manage too lose too many old ones..... All in all, I may have ended the year with no more wealth than the start of it, but Im still alive, having fun and sharing the complex and fascinating journey through life with my wonderful long suffering and patient wife Helen Owen-Cooper , our 3 dogs Rastus, Panda and Patch, our cat Smoky, and the company of some very special friends, many of which are on FB. One of the years highlights will be tonight when I walk on stage with John Woods, Greg French and Jon Pearson as Kaoss Rok brings in the New Year at the Mulgowie Hotel. Wisper Anam Aed will also provide her wonderful Fire Twirling Floor Show. To all of our friend and family who have kept Helen and I company throughout the year, THANK YOU from the botton of our hearts. I hope 2015 is a wonderful year for all of you.
