This boy has an interest in plants, especially those featured in the Plants VS. Zombies digital game. He was ecstatic when he received some cactus plants for his birthday. The gift augmented his growing collection of potted cacti. He is growing sunflower plants from seeds that I bought at a flower shop in Schipol Airport, Amsterdam. The packet of seeds contained stock that readily-sprouted on sowing. Not so with the local purchases which might possibly have long-expired their shelf-life. To make the young gardener happy, his birthday cake was decorated with sunflowers and cacti and was happily-shared among his classmates. He has already expressed his wish for a download of the newest game, Plants VS. Zombies 2.
