This came on in my car the other day--a song I always loved--but I really listened to it and was struck by the magic and miracle of the production that went into it...there are so many beats going on, you cant help but move and dance to it...theres the drum, and the conga, and the keyboard with a sort of counter thing going on, the backup singers are not just providing a harmony, theyre adding another layer of complexity of beat...and Marvin Gaye is walkin-talkin percussion personified...
