I was told by a patron of the Globe Morosco All About that this photo was taken at The Original Morosco and it was the inspiration for Follies. Then the young man proceeded to tell me that he saw Follies at the Marriott Marquis which was on the site of where the classic photo was taken. The young man spoke with such enthusiasm that I let him finish. I responded , Oh, thats the Legend. And he responded Yes, isnt it true true? I hesitated and then said, Of course, but you know its like Hollywood. All the events happened but they were stories from several theatres that were combined to make the legend. He looked excited. I responded, Thats how legends are born. I then told him to Google The Great Theatre Massacre of 1982.
