He was my next door neighbor in 1968 at Ft Sill, OK before he deployed. He and the Divarty Commander were shot down and both were casualties. Sam These videos were sent by a fellow Chinook Pilot. Unlike my short stint of 6 weeks with the 243rd, John spent approximately 3 years as a Frieght Train pilot. He obviously was a deranged, young Warrant Officer! However, he saw the light and retired from the Army as a LTC, after a very distinguished career. Thanks Jon, for the information, your service and especially your friendship!
