This coming Feb. will mark 26yrs since I last set foot on McGuire AFB. A lot has surely changed there, and with me. The C-141s have all been retired, replaced by C-17s. These images of the base prove that, with the flight line full of the newer planes. I spent many a cold night working on that huge slab of concrete either in, on or under one of those massive planes. The big blue hangar (blue star) would hold 6-141s inside it. Our machine shop (red star) shared a building with sheet metal, and welding shops. I have many fond memories of the people I was lucky enough to serve with. I read an article that stated: Less than 21% of the American population has served in the military. This Veterans day Im reminded of how proud I am to be a part of that group. Happy Veterans Day to all my friends who served.
