This coming weekend, Master Derek Sumner 6th Dan together with Master Gemma Biescas 6th Dan will be visiting Gibraltar to conduct a Seminar and National Poomsae Judge Class C course to members of the Gibraltar Taekwondo. The seminar will be held on Friday 26th July as from 6.30pm, whilst the Judge’s course will be held throughout Saturday 27th July, commencing at 10am. On Sunday 28th July another seminar will be held, again commencing at 10am to be up to date with the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) Patterns Rules and Regulations, to compete at International Championships. All of the above events will be held at the Tercentenary Sports Hall. Master Derek Sumner is the British Taekwondo (BT) Poomsae Chairman and former National Poomsae Champion. Is also an International IR Poomsae Referee and National Poomsae Cadet Coach. Master Gemma Biescas is the BT Poomsae National Coach and was National Sparring Champion and GB team member from 1990 to 1995. A National Poomsae and British Squad member from 1996 to 1998, Commonwealth Champion in 2008 and Appointed National Team Coach in 2008.
