This compound exercise targets the shoulders and core; after 3 sets of 12 reps you will be feeling it! Holding a 5 lb plate, stand with your feet shoulder width apart. Raise the weight in front of you, slightly higher than your head, and bring it back to the starting position; raise it to the right side, and return it to the starting position. Then raise it to the left, and return to starting position again. Thats one rep. Keep your core engaged throughout and try to avoid twisting at the hips. I call this the W - which might stand for, Wow - I can really feel that burn! :)
