This continues my post on art below. Once I dived into the artist - TopicsExpress

This continues my post on art below. Once I dived into the artist world here in Atlanta, I found that there are huge numbers of greatly talented artists who are essentially underemployed. Also, the artists rely on closely studying models, who themselves are underemployed. And make no mistake about it. The models that artists sketch, paint, and photograph, are themselves true artists. It is REALLY difficult to look stunningly beautiful such that another artist will be inspired to create a work of amazing power using charcoal, pastels, paint, a camera, or a computer. Those models really work at their art, and they serve as muses for the other artists who are desperate to create. Since money is always an issue in the artist community, you are sort of guaranteed that all the artists in the community are driven by their passion for art, not their drive to become rich. Mind you, artists like money just as much as the next person. But the lack of money does not inhibit their drive to create beauty. I found this to be refreshing. All of these people are driven by a yearning for beauty, and they generally accept the need to combine sensuality with beauty, or rather, not to chop sensuality off from the study of beauty. The artist community is experimental also, and it is that way by nature. The artist community involves all sorts of people with diverse interests, and they generally do not condemn anyone for presenting ... whatever. All subjects are acceptable. Now, as for my own activities, I hope to always be a student of art. I dont ever want to stop learning about this, because by its very nature, art has to always be new. There is a theater shock aspect to all of art. It has to grip ones attention, and drive one to an alternate reality of thought that otherwise would not be accessible.
