This country is getting crazy. Most people see a story like this and just think oh well she shouldnt have broken in or think he shouldnt have shot the pregnant woman. Most people see the blame partially on these two individuals alone. But I read this and see who the blame really is on. All of us as a collective. This country in its entirity. How this story reveals multiple issues this country sweeps under the rug.... Not only are pregnant women struggling with poverty at an alarming rate. Drug use is rampant and was probably involved in this situation and addicts are not being afforded proper care. Just being sent to jail. And people who ho to jail for nonviolent crimes still have to become violent to survive physically and mentally in jail so their mindset is forever changed. Not to mention the difficulty in finding a job and assistance after going to jail. So that leaves you poor, addicted, and helpless. And then we lack introduction to proper education as children so most of us cant even get descent jobs yet the government thinks we are all mentally qualified for loaded murder machines (guns) and gives them to any old white man who is afraid of his own damn shadow and uneducated about every part of the constitution except where it says right to bear arms. This country is shit. And you have to learn to see the bigger picture in these stories that seem insignificant.
