This cross is a memorial erected by people honoring fallen heroes they wish to have remembered every time someone looks at this cross. Eternal life is important to Christians. It is what we all structure our lives to achieve. A memorial such as the subject cross is a way eternal life has been given those it commemorates. The two atheists that say the presence of this cross sickens them, need to learn religious tolerance and understand that others opinions and needs are different from theirs and need to be recognized as such. In other words, you are free to express your opinions and have your beliefs, but, so am I. You are free to travel a different route if going within sight of the cross bothers you, If you are a true American, you will tolerate the rights of others and get on with your life and leave others alone so they can get on with theirs.
