This crossed my mind today while at beauty school...it is interesting how people will say take action or strive for what it is you desire to be or what ever you desire to have in life, but once you are taking the steps & making the moves your actions and decisions are being questioned & people will offer advice or 2 cents when it was not asked... So I do challenge the words & advice of others because Im very clear on what it is I was called forward to do. Im very protective of my dreams & goals. So I say this to express that there will always be someone who will simply not be happy for you & you will NOT please everyone. Dont worry! Because thats not what you are here for. But there will be people who will cross your path & pass judgement or throw shade as some may say. Dont allow anyone to invade your mental space & leave you second guessing your dreams. Have mentors who are in YOUR industry who have the actual experience & knowledge in YOUR industry to pass along to you not every teacher, professor or instructor knows everything but just be mindful of the advice that is given to you not all advice is good advice & not all advice applies to you. I wouldnt tell anyone what to do or how to act in a field that I have no clue about about. - Personal thought
