This day, 11 years ago, a last minute invite to a random social event lead to me meeting the man who would soon become more than a random stranger I said hi to once. We instantly engaged in conversation and while I wasnt feeling well and wanted to go home, I couldnt bring myself to do so. We stayed out until the early hours of the morning. We learned a lot about one another that night but I think mostly we learned all of the various ways in which we were different. We learned that we couldnt actually two-step together even though we both knew how. We learned that we held some different political views and different beliefs about the world in general. Even with these differences we still enjoyed one anothers company so much that we continued to see one another throughout the coming weeks. That slowly turned into something more serious than friends. 11 years later, we still cant dance with one another on the dance floor but, we are perfectly dancing with each other through life. What an amazing journey so far and how lucky we are to have found one another. Off to date night to celebrate!
