This day 16 years ago...the day that changed my life forever!!! I was in labor with my oldest son, Joseph Bonnema. I was so scared at 17 years old, single mom of all the scary life changes that were about to happening..e 6:30 pm on 10/5 I was staring at the most handsome 9lb, 12 oz, 22" double chinned baby!!! At that moment on I knew that we were both fighters! We had to prove the world wrong, and so far we have accomplished so much and I can honestly say that high school diploma, Cosmetology School diploma, state board tests passed (1st time), salon job sweeping floors & washing hair to becoming a hair stylist to earning a salon manager position...you were my biggest cheerleader, fan and priority...you are my biggest inspiration and success story. I think that everyone will agree...thank God that I came to a moment of sanity and did not name Joseph Micheal the original name of Brutus Bartholomew Bonnema!!! Joe you have made me a very proud mom!!! I thank God every day for you!! I wish you a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I just wish that you have nothing but success, happiness, and many approved wishes!! Just remember that when you want something bad enough, you will do anything to make your dreams come true!!! Enjoy your special day!!! We will always love you and will always be there for you!!
