On September 5, 1960, this unknown Louisville light-heavyweight demolished Ziggy Pietrzykowski in the final marking the beginning of the most decorated boxing career the world has ever seen. Yes, Cassius Clay, later known as Muhammad Ali, won the Olympic Gold in Rome this day with a unanimous decision over Pietrzykowski, a three time European Champion from Poland.
