This day 9 years ago, began as any normal day. It was just another day like any other. But later that evening it was to change my life forever,it would never be the same again for my family and I. A matter of feet and a drug addict were to give us, family and friends, the worst week of our lives. A week that would give us terrible memories that we will remember forever. Our beautiful daughter Marsia on this day would be knocked down by a drug addict, only a couple of feet away from safety. A couple of feet and Marsia would still be here with us and everyones lives would be so much happier. Our lives can change so quickly, in a matter of seconds or in inches or feet. They are unforeseen and unexpected. We all believe that things like this wont happen to us. But they can and do. Today and for the next week I, and the rest of my family will relive that horrible week in our minds and Im sure so will a lot of Marsias friends. I pray to Marsia today with Gods blessing to protect her family and friends. I pray that people out there will drive more carefully and think of the lives they can destroy in a single moment of madness. I pray for all those families that have had their children and family members taken from them,
