This devotional really blessed me on tonight. It simply states...WHEN YOU ARE DOING GODS WORK EXPECT TROUBLE!! BUT remember NO ONE CAN BLOCK WHAT GOD HAS ORDAINED!! I hope this blesses someone as much as it blessed me.... Daughters of the King Devotional Expect Trouble “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” 1Corinthians 15:58 When you make a decision to do what God has put in your heart to do expect trouble. The enemy will stir up trouble to get your eyes off of God. Before you know it, you’re emotionally stirred up because you didn’t see it coming. Sometimes it can be the people closest to you that can allow themselves to be influenced by the devil to discourage you. But you must see it coming a mile away and plant your feet. “Be steadfast” God says, “unmovable and always abounding in the work of the Lord”. It doesn’t matter who comes against you. It doesn’t matter what is said about you. No one can stop the work that God has purposed and preordained beforehand for you to do. No one can knock you off your stance when your feet are planted in God’s word. Fill up your heart with the Word of God. Let it keep you. Let it preserve you. Let it remind you of who you are in Christ. Let it fight for you. “Is not my word like as unto a fire? And like a hammer that breaks the rock into pieces.” What God has said, that’s what will be. It may feel like your obedience to God has caused an all out war, but don’t let your blood pressure rise. Wipe those tears from your eyes. Hold up your head and watch God move on your behalf. Even if He has to speak to someone in an audible voice to leave you alone, He will do just that. Be encouraged. Be encouraged. Be encouraged. Prayer: Father God, my decision to obey You has caused a war. Keep my blood pressure down. Keep my mind sound. Keep my hands to the plow. Keep my heart fixed on You. I believe Your word and I stand on Your promises. Help me to do what You have purposed beforehand for me to do. Help me plant my feet in Your word and be unmovable. No matter what trouble comes my way, I trust in You Lord. Be glorified in me. In Jesus name, Amen.
