This disease kills over 12,000 people per year, and thousands of Americans have already become infected with it. Youre not supposed to know about it though because it could warrant securing the border. As If Ebola Weren’t Bad Enough, Here’s Another Deadly Disease Invading America Across The Border ...many patients now being treated tend to be illegal immigrants... Don’t be surprised if you’ve never heard of it. Chagas is a little-discussed but potentially lethal disease that experts now believe could have infected close to 400,000 Americans, most of whom are unaware of the ticking time-bomb inside them. Chagas is spread by the feces of an insect that plays host to a nasty parasite — the insect is nicknamed the “kissing bug” because it often bites people around the mouth. It bites sleeping victims, ingests their blood, and defecates on them. According to medical experts quoted in an article on RT, patients then unknowingly rub the feces into open membranes. “Chagas disease is seen as a ‘silent killer’ by those who study and treat it, as it can often lurk in people’s bloodstreams for up to two decades before causing their organs to fail. “The initial stage of the tropical illness ‒ the acute phase ‒ is mostly symptom-free and lasts for the first few weeks or months, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.” According to the RT News story, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimated in July that 300,000 people in the US had been infected, but now the number of Americans carrying the disease could be closer to 400,000. There are reportedly no government-approved treatments for late-stage Chagas, which is endemic to Mexico, Central America, and South America, where researchers estimate that up to 8 million people have the illness. News coverage of the growing infection rate in the U.S., particularly in southern border states, indicates the increasing concern over the deadly disease may well be related to the flood of illegals across the southern border. Many patients now being treated reportedly tend to be illegal immigrants without health insurance. Via globalnews.ca: “It’s traditionally a tropical disease in South America, Central America and Mexico but U.S. researchers say Chagas has now made its way into Texas and other states. They’re calling it an ‘emerging’ U.S. public health threat.” According to a recent article in the Daily Mail, Chagas is sometimes referred to as “the new AIDS”: “Chagas is being called the new AIDS because of its asymptomatic beginnings that can turn to a fatal end if the disease progresses. “One of the first visual signs can be a skin lesion or a purplish swelling of the lid of one eye. “The disease can develop in the body causing eventual heart failure and other deadly complications that by the time they are realized cannot be helped with medicine.” westernjournalism/ebola-werent-bad-enough-heres-another-deadly-disease-invading-america-across-border/
