This disturbing video shows a vandal destroying a new tree on Noe Street. Our neighborhoods are experiencing way too much crime, large and small. Between the recent murders and the growing amount of property crime, we are all very concerned. We need more police presence - which were working to do by staffing up the department - and consistent follow up in terms of arresting perpetrators and prosecuting them. Allowing an anything goes criminal atmosphere for smaller crimes leads to more serious crimes. We need to work with and support our police departments efforts to enforce the law and ensure that the department is doing what it needs to do to keep the community safe. We also need more neighbors to organize as neighborhood watches, which you can do by working with SF SAFE (sfsafe.org).
