This email was sent to us today ... This is what I mean...I am against all people getting killed! Specially innocent people...Since the speech of Al Sisi I felt that lots of blood will shed the floor! To AUC Community: The University regretfully announces the death of Mohamed Samir Ghanima, an undergraduate mechanical engineering senior, who was shot and killed on Friday, July 26, 2013, when the car in which he was riding was attacked. Four other AUC students were in the car when the shooting took place; they were together to study for a summer session Mechanical Engineering final exam. Three of the other students were also seriously injured but they are recovering and are in stable condition and the authorities are investigating the incident. The University will be holding an on-campus remembrance of Mohamed in September after the start of the fall semester; details will be announced at that time. Khaled Dahawy V.P. for Student Affairs
