This evening I flagged off 50 trucks with food aid destined for South Sudan. AFRICAID, an indigenous aid/relief agency sourced the food items from within Uganda. I applaud the support in food aid worth 2bn Shs by AFRICAID, a Ugandan relief agency, to the people of South Sudan. I am happy that Uganda can now support our brothers with food relief, sourced from within the country and that this is done by an indigenous organisation.
