This evening a gentleman came in to talk with me because hes looking for placement for his mother who has Alzheimers. He and his wife have been caring for her, but he admitted that due to his work schedule, his wife has taken on the brunt. Recently mom got sick and anyone who knows about Alzheimers knows that illnesses exacerbate the disease. The job of caring for mom tripled, but his wife told him, selflessly, that she would continue to care for his mom, regardless. He told me that he couldnt express the love he has for her for offering to make that kind of a sacrifice. This story is only one of the reasons I love my job. The bare humanity.
