This evening as I was giving Stephen, our son, his nightly bath, - TopicsExpress

This evening as I was giving Stephen, our son, his nightly bath, many thoughts were swirling around in my mind as I thought about life, and all of its uncertainties. Now for those of you who are not aware or may have forgotten, our son is autistic, and he cannot bathe himself. So, even though he is 20 years old, we still give him a bath, just like we have always done since he was a baby.... As I was saying, there were many thoughts on my mind tonight, thoughts about some family members and friends who are facing some very difficult times, and thoughts about our own daily challenges as we have just begun another new year. I know plenty of people who are hurting tonight and dealing with some painful trials that will surely test their faith. In thinking about these who are on my heart, the Lord spoke to me, and offered these words of guidance. What should we do in these times of uncertainty that test us so? Here is what we do: We PERSEVERE - We never give up, even when the road we are traveling is rough. We keep moving forward. We PURSUE - We keep seeking out that which we are meant to find along this journey of faith that we are on. We PROGRESS - We continue to move toward the goal of seeing these challenges through, sometimes seemingly inch by inch, but still moving closer to completing the task. We PREVAIL - We will not be defeated, we will be victorious as we trust God to empower us and lead us every step of the way. Remember, the Bible says, with God all things are possible. Matthew 19: 26 Now I do not know if what I have shared will be of any help or encouragement to any of you, but I felt that God wanted me to share these thoughts that He placed on my heart tonight. ----------------- May God bless you all.
