Considered the most important day on the Jewish calendar, Yom Kippur is the Jewish Day of Atonement, celebrated on the 10th day of Tishrei, and marking an end to the Ten Days of Awe. Looking ahead with hope after a year of global turmoil, Yom Kippur carries a universal message of forgiveness, reconciliation and personal renewal, as the shofar calls Jews to their places of worship during this period. On this solemn and sacred day, I extend my sincere good wishes to all those gathering to observe this important occasion.
