This evening, five years ago, our lives were forever changed. Curled up together, we told Mom wed be okay and she could finally go. It feels bizarre to be marking this anniversary with a 5... I am beyond thankful for the women who have since rallied around us, fulfilling so many of the aspects of a mother that I miss and (am often reluctant to admit) still need. Im sitting in rehearsal, working with the loveliest and most talented kids, and know that our angel with the best balcony seating is smiling and proud.
