This evening, one of historys greatest sagas continues: The 208th Annual Wake County Bar and Grill Awards Revue, Banquet, Horse Show and Knife Fight Extravaganza returns for another year of whatever it is weve done in the past, only more so. This year, were at the Wake County Womans Club, with doors opening at 6:00, and the show starting at 7:00. To prevent another mass exodus like we saw in the middle of the show in 2010, the doors will be LOCKED from the outside promptly at 7:05. Latecomers will be allowed entry, but after that, its just like the Hotel California unil the shows over, baby. I should also announce that the lawsuit brought by the SPCA over 2011s Flying Coyote skit has been settled to the satisfaction of all, and it is NOT why we have been asked never, ever, ever to return or even cast your gaze upon, from now until the end of time, to the Natural History Museum. Simply a scheduling issue, I assure you. Except for the money for John Mabes wardrobe (provided by John Varvatos and sponsored by Long John Silvers and Pan-Am), the remaing funds raised will go to benefit the good folks at Legal Aid of Wake County, whether they like it or not. Individual tickets are $40 each, and are worth nearly half that much. Individual Sponsors can have two tickets for a total of $125.00, along with reserved seating. That seating can include being seated where you do not have to see the show, and for an additional $50.00, we wont mention your involvement to anyone. Dont forget our annual lottery selection of Wake Countys Finest Attorney, too.
