This evening southbound traffic suddenly slowed. The reason? A German Shepard trotting along the lines dividing the number 1 lane and number 2 lane, just north of the main street off ramp. A couple of people stopped to try and aid the dog but it was heading north against the flow of traffic. It is a REALLY bad idea to run out onto the highway to rescue a dog. My friend drives a wrecker truck and he got to clean up the mess after two women were brutally killed and run over by several cars while trying to help a dog who was also killed. I hope the poor dog made it out ok.
