This evening, the National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Austin area until noon tomorrow. Out of an abundance of caution, Austin ISD will open schools and run district buses on a two-hour delay tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 28. We will continue to monitor the weather, and will only contact you again at or about 6 a.m. if the district needs to cancel school tomorrow. Otherwise, please plan for the two-hour delay. AISD will excuse tardies for students and staff members due to weather or circumstances related to inclement weather. If your child rides the bus and you would like to learn how specific bus routes may be affected, please call AISD’s transportation department between 7:45 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. at 512-414-0238.
