This favorite old British Sci-Fi TV series is like the old Timex watch commercial, It takes a licking, and keeps on ticking, and keep on ticking the Doctor Who series certainly does. Having first aired in 1964, the show has continued off and on since then, with the change of characters for the Doctor and his appearance built into the plot, which to our way of thinking, is pure genius and is the basic reason that it has been able to continue to the present day. We must admit that the Dr. Who series is one of our favorites, and has been since about 1980, when we discovered it playing in reruns on GPB-TV. Of course, of the many actors that have played the Doctor for various lengths of time, all with their own idea of clothing styles and personalities, we have had our favorites. Check the newest and 12th Doctor out when the new series airs this month on BBC America.
