This friend speaks my mind . *DISCLAIMER ~ Some of you are not going to like what Ive said in my comments below. But I will not apologize for any of these words, because they are spoken from my heart.* The biggest problem which Democrats have long had is - their inability to constantly and unrelentingly talk up, to boast and to brag about the accomplishments of Democratic presidents and their administrations. If Osama bin Laden had been taken out of this life during former President GW Bushs administration, the Republicans would STILL be crowing about this. Matter of fact, there would probably be a statute being erected somewhere in America right now in honor of Bushs accomplishment. If a comprehensive health care plan had passed during the time that former President GW Bush was in office, the Republicans running for reelection would have ads running on television, on the internet and the radio talking nonstop about the success of the new healthcare law. If former President GW Bush had appointed the nations first Hispanic judge to the Supreme Court, the Republicans would have been running ads in Spanish reminding the Hispanic community of this. But what have Democrats in key races been doing? Acting as if President Obama is a piece of kryptonite and they are fcuking Superman, and they cant get away from him fast enough! I unhappily voted a straight Democratic ticket for the Midterms, far more out of loyalty to helping President Obama in his last two years in office, rather than to the assclowns Mark Udall and Irv Halter who are running. The Democrats have been too cowardly and spineless to run on President Obamas many accomplishments using this lame ass excuse that he is not liked in certain areas of the country. So fcuking what? This man is the President and despite the unrelenting opposition which he has had to deal with from both Republicans and some blue-dog Democrats, the economy is slowly improving, thousands of troops are no longer in harms way, countless Americans now have both the opportunity and choice of getting healthcare coverage, and there hasnt been a terrorist attack on American soil. If the Democrats do lose the Senate and do not regain Congress, then the Democrats really have no one else to blame but themselves. They threw away a priceless opportunity to highlight the significant amount of good which President Obama has done for this country, opting instead to play right into the Koch brothers masterfully played plan that the President is toxic material.
