This from Miramichi Police. Tim The Miramichi Police Force is releasing a four second video clip to help generate the public’s assistance in identifying the people responsible for an armed robbery that took place on the evening of November 26th at Petro Canada situated at 189 King Street. The robbery took place during a snow storm and as the store was closing. MPF have seized video surveillance from various businesses and state that the investigation is progressing. Information gathered in the case indicates that there may be more than one person involved in this crime. After the robbery, the suspect ran to a car that was parked nearby. The suspects immediately fled the area and traveled south towards Moncton on Route 11. Tire track impressions and video surveillance footage indicate that the car involved is a smaller model. MPF believe that there are people who know about the armed robbery and can provide information that will help identify the suspects. The public is reminded that they can provide information anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or through contacting the MPF directly at 623-2124. Crime Stoppers offers up to $2000 for information that will help identify the suspects involved in this crime.
