This from afscme council 31, they back Quinn who closes prisons, nullifies the contract, asks us to take concessions, then states it is the legislatures problem that they refused to budget for our raises. Spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to defeat Rauner, while training new stewards on state time ask them to sign up for political campaign work!!! Now, they know that they will have to sit down with the Rauner administration to conduct contract talks and right out of the box they say they will not be present next month to collectively bargain in good faith!!! On Friday, CMS notified Council 31 that the Rauner Administration would not be prepared to come to the bargaining table on any of the previously scheduled dates in January. So no negotiations will take place next month.
