This goes out to April Koch, but applies to others as well... Another co-worker inspired piece...not a poem, for this person deserves more than a few cuplets... Her name: April... How appropriate...April is a special month...starts just days after the equinox...some of the land is still in the grips of winter... April is a promise...a promise of beauty renewed...of rebirth...and regrowth...fitting for her... But to get thru April, one must endure rain...and storms...let me explain: You see, inside each of us, are two opposing forces...dark and light, good and evil...allmof us have these forces; the trick is to maintain a blalance, just as night and day are balanced...so it is with April... When the prize is important, like her, the battles can be intense...swing in wild ways...always trying to find the balance. Why her? Well, she has a heart made of rd, fire diamonds...strong, beautiful, and warm; she has a beuatiful face, and the body of an Amazon Warrior Princess... Only the most important are worth such a fight, Im thinking people like Jimi Hendrix, Elvis, Karen Carpenter, and lately, Robin Williams...they were famous, and a they all had inner battles which they ultimate lost. There are a lot of souls like that, and there are few reading this right now...I wont embarss you by naming you...you know who you are... She can be an awesome ally, of a formidable foe, but first she has to endure the storms..shes done a good job, so far...but the battle is not over. This is something she has to finish herself, we can help her, guide her, but she must find the path to the light on her own... I am confident that she can..and the world will be a better place because of it!
