This grandmother had her 7-year-old granddaughter Aiyana Stanley - TopicsExpress

This grandmother had her 7-year-old granddaughter Aiyana Stanley Jones killed in her sleep by a police officer who shot her with a SUB MACHINE GUN during a no knock raid. The officer had all charges DROPPED by a judge Cynthia Gray Hathaway who according to her bio is a life long member of the NAACP. The reasons for this dismissal was because the jury deadlocked after deliberating for only two days. Lawyers rushed in and filed for a dismissal because a lack of evidence. The judge accepted the motion to dismiss and the trial was brought to an end while the Michigan Court of Appeals reviewed an emergency appeal of the ruling. Presiding Appeals Judge Michael Talbot issued the order to deny the appeal and allow the judge’s dismal to stand. “Although I find that the trial court erred in form and substance in granting defendant’s motion for directed verdict, we are barred from reviewing that decision,” Talbot wrote. So basically a legal loophole resulted in yet another police officer going unpunished even though the officer shouldnt have had his finger on the trigger to begin with according to their own training protocol. But through all of that HERE is the most devastating part. This grandmothers testimony is wrenching. AND THEN PEOPLE WONDER WHY PEOPLE GET ANGRY ENOUGH TO TEAR SHIT UP!!! How are we expected to be peaceful when this keeps happening again and again!!! BLACK LIVES MATTER!!!! We are going to do EVERYTHING WE CAN till everyone KNOWS THIS IN THEIR BONES!!! Shame on this country that can let the murder of a sleeping 7-year-old go unpunished! Elizabeth Vega
