This group is exactly what it always was. A local group to discuss - TopicsExpress

This group is exactly what it always was. A local group to discuss and share political issues relevant and concerning Clark County Nevada. The membership has not change and neither has the mission of this group. Re-read the Mission Statement of this group if necessary. Yes, it would be great if the discussions remain focused strictly on Clark County and I have asked the membership numerous times to keep the issues local as much as possible. However, I realize and understand that this is not always possible or even desirable, and the issue of police misconduct and judicial corruption is more than just relevant here in Clark County. It is also clearly what people see the need to discuss here in this group, especially since many here in this group have made personal traumatic experiences with law enforcement and justice system and actually wish the black community and the many law enforcement officers who are members of this group would show more participation in the discussions as this is not only an issue that concerns the white civilian community but in particular also the black community and law enforcement here itself. That the issue of police and judicial corruption is one of such emotional and traumatic impact is very clear alone from reading the threads and discussions about it and is clearly not limited to those who have been victimized by it, but also those who still stand in support of it. Many members in support of both sides of the issues have contributed, posted and “liked” for the very first time confirming my believe that this is an issue of greatest importance to all of Clark County. Everyone is free to start new topics and discussions concerning other local political issues and a number of postings to that effect have actually been made, but simply have not generated the same interest and responses as the issue at hand. I can only ask everyone to stick with discussing the issues instead of making personal attacks or even threats and at least try to understand the other side and in some cases be less hypocritical while keeping the discussions as civil as possible.
